Ballet
Ballet is a timeless dance style that combines grace, precision, and storytelling through movement. It is the foundation of many dance forms, emphasizing posture, balance, coordination, and discipline. At Theative Performing Arts, we introduce young dancers to ballet through our unique Story Time Ballet program, specifically designed for toddlers and preschoolers. This developmentally appropriate curriculum blends imaginative play with basic ballet steps, making it a fun and magical introduction to the world of dance.
As children progress, starting from reception school age, we follow the esteemed Royal Academy of Dance (RAD) syllabus for our pre-primary levels and up through the grades. Our structured lessons ensure that students develop their technique and artistry in a nurturing environment. From Grade One and beyond, our ballet classes also incorporate 'character work'—an exciting component that brings to life ballet-ized versions of folk and national dances found in many of the world’s famous classical ballets. This enriches our students' understanding of dance history and adds a vibrant cultural dimension to their ballet education. Join us to explore the beautiful world of ballet, where your child can grow, learn, and shine!
