Modern Theatre Dance is an exciting and diverse dance style that incorporates elements from jazz, contemporary, lyrical and commercial, offering a vibrant mix of techniques and movements. At Theative Performing Arts, we introduce our youngest dancers to this lively genre through our unique Boogie Bop classes. Designed specifically for preschoolers, Boogie Bop is a narrative-based, developmentally appropriate class that blends the basics of jazz, street dance, and creative movement. This fun and imaginative program allows young children to explore rhythm, movement, and storytelling in a playful, engaging way.

As children grow, they can seamlessly transition into our Modern Theatre dance classes, which follow the ISTD (Imperial Society of Teachers of Dancing) syllabus starting from the Primary level (Reception age) and continuing up through the grades. These classes focus on building strong technique, musicality, and performance skills, providing a solid foundation in modern theatre dance. The program is perfect for students who enjoy a variety of dance styles and want to develop their skills in a structured yet dynamic environment.
