We go above and beyond to make sure our Camps and Workshops are jam-packed full of amazing activities! If you have a creative child, they will absolutely adore our Mary Poppins Easter Camp!
1. Singing, Dancing & Choreography
During the week all of our campers will try different dance styles, learn some of the wonderful songs from the world of Mary Poppins and even learn and create choreography inspired by some of the story's most iconic moments.
No dance or singing experience is necessary to take part! Just enthusiasm and good old gumption!
2. Stagecraft
Each age group will get to actually create scenery and props, immersing them further into all aspects of the theatre! At the end of the week all the children will get to keep their creations so they can relive the fun at home again and again!
3 . Learn New Skills
As well as introducing all the children to new dance styles that they might not have tried before, attendees will also learn and refine their social skills, team work, artistic capabilities, performance skills and even learn a few handy hacks like learning how to do their own ponytail/ballet bun for class!
4. Make New Friends
One of the things that makes our Dance Family so amazing and special is how compassionate and empathetic our students are, and our Camps are no different. Every year we are blown away by the beautiful friendships we see blossoming when the children work and play together. Children are split into separate age groups for their lessons (4-6, 6-8, 8-10), but get the opportunity to interact with all the other groups each day. Everyone always leaves at the end of the week with new friends and stronger bonds with their old ones.
5. Perform
At the end of the week all of the campers who attended at least 3 consecutive days will get to take part in our little performance! We invite all the grown ups to come and watch as the children show off everything they have learned and made during the camp! All of the children will get to wear a costume, have their hair styled, and even get a (very light) dusting of stage make up to add to the thrill of performing!
