Find the right dance class in Streatham
At Theative Performing Arts, we believe the best dance class is one that makes a student want to keep learning. Our Streatham classes combine high-quality teaching with creativity, encouragement and plenty of personality, helping dancers develop strong technique while building confidence, musicality and a genuine love of performing.
Dance classes for different ages and personalities
Children can begin with our imaginative early years classes from 18 months, then progress through ballet, tap, modern, acro and musical theatre as they grow.
Some dancers love the detail and artistry of ballet. Others come alive with the rhythm and pizazz of tap, the energy of modern, the challenge of acro or the all-round performance experience of musical theatre.
Our classes are grouped by age and level so students can learn alongside dancers at an appropriate stage of development. We welcome complete beginners as well as dancers with previous experience, with suitable options depending on age and class.
More than just learning steps
Technique matters, but so does the experience a child has while learning it.
Our teaching is designed to help students become confident, creative and resilient learners. We celebrate progress, encourage students to challenge themselves and create an environment where every dancer can feel that they belong.
Our classes are also intentionally kept small, allowing teachers to know their students as individuals, provide meaningful feedback and give every dancer the attention they need to progress.
