This past summer, we hosted our first ever Acrobatics and Aerial Dance Camp in Streatham from July 29th to August 2nd, and it was an incredible week packed with excitement! With a full roster of campers aged 4 to 12, our days were filled with learning new skills, fun activities, and lots of acrobatic thrills.
A Week of Learning and Performance
Each day, campers worked on mastering acrobatic skills, many of them experiencing gymnastics and acro for the very first time. By the end of the week, every age group had choreographed a jazzy acro dance routine, which they performed for proud parents on the last day. Watching the kids grow in confidence and skill over the week was inspiring!
Aerial Fun with Imogen from Airhoop
The final day brought the exciting highlight: an aerial workshop with Imogen from Airhoop. The kids absolutely loved trying out fun aerial tricks on the hoop and silks, soaring through the air and adding an extra layer of adventure to their acrobatic training. It was a unique and unforgettable experience!
Creative Arts and Crafts Fun
In addition to the physical challenges, campers also got to flex their creative muscles with acrobat-themed arts and crafts. This combination of active and creative fun kept everyone engaged, laughing, and bonding as they explored the world of acrobatics.
