Just when we thought the summer couldnât get any more magical, Theative Performing Arts took the plunge under the sea with a mesmerising Little Mermaid-themed summer camp! For five days, our studio became an imaginary underwater paradise where children aged 3-11 explored dance, music, and the arts from 9 am to 3 pm. The week was nothing short of magical, culminating in a heartwarming performance that showcased everything the kids had learned.
A Week Full of Adventure
Our little mermaids and mermen were immersed in a carefully designed program that included:
Choreography: Led by Miss Rachel & Miss Amy, the children worked on dance routines that were both fun and challenging.
Singing: Under Miss Vickyâs guidance, the little voices came together to create beautiful melodies.
Arts and Crafts: Miss Vicky & Miss Amy also orchestrated a series of arts and crafts activities, including making stage props like shells, bubbles, and tie-dye fish sock puppets.
Free Play: No summer camp is complete without some time for the children to just be kids!
Memorable Moments
On the final morning of our camp, as the animated Little Mermaid movie played on our cinema screen, the room filled with the spontaneous chorus of little voices singing 'Part of Your World'. It was a touching moment that demonstrated the unity and joy this camp had fostered.
Lights, Camera, Action!
Fast forward to the grand finaleâour studio transformed into an underwater theatre, complete with sea-themed decor. Our little performers strutted their stuff in radiant costumes, their hair styled to aquatic perfection. Special props to Mr. Kel, who filmed the extravaganza, ensuring these oceanic memories would last a lifetime!
