Class Duration & Structure: What to Expect
Whether you're looking to spend quality time with your child in our Dance and Play classes or encouraging a little independence in our Preschool Combo classes, we have something for everyone in our Toddler Dance Classes in Streatham.
Dance and Play Classes: These run for 30 minutes and are followed by another half-hour of free play with toys and refreshments. Perfect for children 18 months to 3 years old, along with an adult.
Independent Preschool Classes: These are designed for 3-4-year-olds and vary from 35-50 minutes depending on the type of class.
Each class starts with a warm-up and stretches that evolve every half term. We then dance through a story or theme, engaging the imagination and teaching essential dance skills. Our rotating themes strike a balance between consistency and variety, keeping everyone engaged.
Parental Involvement: You're Part of the Story, Too!
In our parent & child classes, grown-ups are more than spectators; they're co-adventurers! In independent classes, parents get a sneak peek during trial classes and can attend our special ‘watching weeks’ three times a year.

Your child's safety is our top priority. We have a stringent safeguarding policy, all staff hold enhanced DBS checks, and we are fully insured. You can dance easy knowing your little ones are in safe hands.
Facilities: Make Yourself at Home
Whether you're at our Prentis Road or Conyers Road venue, comfort won’t be an issue. Especially at Conyers Road, you can relax on comfortable chairs and sofas while your child enjoys their class.
Getting Ready: Your Pre-Class Checklist
What to Wear: Comfortable clothing like leggings and a t-shirt.
Footwear: Bare feet are best for the first class.
Arrival: We recommend arriving at least 5 minutes early.
Don't forget to fill out our waiver on the booking form before your trial booking!
Class Dynamics: A Positive, Nurturing Environment
We believe in fostering a positive environment. While discipline issues are rare, our approach is firm but fair. We highlight good behaviour and gently correct anything less. With a maximum of 12 children per class, your child will receive plenty of individual attention.

After your trial class, expect an email follow-up from us. Enrolment is simple, with termly and seasonal options and a welcoming gift to kickstart your Theative journey.
